RAMPAGE ELITE!

ALL NEW Rampage ELITE Series. In 2012 the seeds were planted for the RAMPAGE. A direct derivative of the legendary and innovative X2C subwoofer with a 5″ voice coil. Although the RAMPAGE XM is based on a 4″ coil platform, its performance will not be overshadowed by its heritage. In many ways it pushes the boundaries even further. The new basket offers better cooling with improved SAFT (Smooth Air Flow Tech) and has the ability to deliver even more XMAX than the previous basket. 3.15″ / 80 mm peak to peak handled by the 315 mm / 12.4″ spiders (or optional 14″!), which are among the largest you will find on a traditional 15″ subwoofer (without the use of adapters), in addition the new basket features a triple landing so you can tailor the stiffness and spider size to your application.

OCAF

OCAF version II (Optimized Cooling and Current) implemented in the new motor design has modified the large flares of the X2C’s backplate. Furthermore, the pole piece features a dual cooling system that moves air away from the voice coil more efficiently. Despite the coil’s internal diameter being 4″, its 4.33″ outer diameter makes this coil a widebody, combined with an 8-layer high winding, this design is made for daily torture or demo days!

The RAMPAGE XM bike has now been beefed up to a QUAD 12″ slug variant weighing in at 1400oz. However, we're able to keep the overall height of the bike to only 10% more than the Gen 2 XM. With the longer Xmech, that added 10% comes into play.

Stiffness

Another tool is the XL composite dust caps with the embossed B2 logo. Their hemispherical design with wider wedges stiffens the cone, providing more stability and helping to keep that transient response tight. So when the bass hits, it's right on cue. A slightly wider stretch foam surround means there are fewer mechanical parts to restrict your swing.

THE FUTURE IS NOW

The latest version of the RAMPAGE ELITE 15 has been carefully designed to meet the stringent demands of low-frequency reproduction with remarkable efficiency. The 315 mm / 12.4" quad-layer full NOMEX spiders with progressive rollers ensure precise bass response while minimizing mechanical distortion. For future iterations or larger coil configurations, we may offer spider suspension sizes up to 14.5" in diameter.

The implementation of quad Y35 slugs, as opposed to the previous triple-slug design used in the standard RAMPAGE, significantly improves the engine's performance. These slugs are now securely attached via the rear plate to the modified, raised top plate, increasing stability and reducing the chance of displacement. With an engine assembly weight of 1400 oz, this model represents the top of the RAMPAGE line.

2024 also marks the first revision of the ELITES. The ambient height has been increased by almost 15%, relieving mechanical stress while operating at the limits, resulting in improved audio response through reduced distortion.

Maintaining the MMS similarity to the previous model has been achieved through the use of full carbon fiber cones and dust covers, keeping the T/S parameters within specified tolerances.
